Youth Volunteers
Whether in elementary school or college, our youth volunteers make an impact on their communities. The Red Cross offers flexible projects that adapt to busy student schedules while providing students with a valuable, internationally recognized reference for their future applications and endeavors.
Students may volunteer individually with the Dallas Red Cross or form Red Cross Clubs at their school to participate in Red Cross sponsored projects within their community.

Red Cross Clubs
Red Cross Club members include students at the elementary through university level. They participate in Red Cross service projects that help their schools and communities at large. School clubs are sponsored by Red Cross chapters, Blood Services centers and AFES stations, wherever the Red Cross is located. They offer student members many opportunities for self-development and the ability to choose activities that will address their communities' greatest needs.
The Value of Volunteering
Members of Red Cross Clubs help fulfill an important mission. Our members have told us that what they like the most about the volunteer experience is their opportunity to:
- Have fun
- Learn new skills
- Feel that they are needed
- Gain experience
- Meet people with similar interests
- Learn to be a leader
- Contribute to their community
