The American Red Cross-Dallas Area Chapter depends on volunteers. They constitute more than 90 percent of our total work force to carry on our humanitarian work of providing relief to victims of disaster and helping our community prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

*SPECIAL NOTE - Haiti Disaster Relief Effort*
At this time, we are only deploying current Red Cross volunteers specially trained to manage international emergency operations. Please consider supporting your community’s local needs by volunteering with the Dallas Area Chapter. Completing the volunteer application, will allow you to work within our 12 counties, providing relief to people who have suffered a disaster, or providing awareness on preventing and preparing for such emergencies. If interested in volunteering on an ongoing basis or only during large scale emergencies, join our Disaster Volunteer Reserve or view other additional opportunities during the application process.
