Services
The Dallas Area Red Cross - McKinney Branch provides all American Red Cross programs and services to it's local service area, including:
- Health and Safety courses such as first aid, CPR and AED
- Water safety
- Disaster relief to victims of disaster
- Disaster Preparedness Courses: Community Disaster Education, Emergency Preparedness for Youth (Masters of Disaster, Gun Proof Kid, Home Alone, and many more)
Service Area Facts
The Dallas Area Red Cross - McKinney Branch, formerly known as the American Red Cross of North Texas, was founded in 1917. In 2003, the Dallas Area Chapter merged with the American Red Cross of North Texas, effectively improving Red Cross services to the local Collin County area.
- Covers 885 square miles across the Collin County area
- Includes a diverse population of more than 500,000
- Over 250 dedicated volunteers provide Red Cross programs and services to the local community
- Funding is provided by local businesses, organizations, grants, and voluntary individual contributions
Volunteer Opportunities
There are numerous opportunities available for those who want to lend their time and support as a Red Cross volunteer. The McKinney Branch is currently seeking volunteers for: Disaster Services, Health and Safety Education, Youth Education, Public Speaking, Community Disaster Education Instructors, and many other volunteer positions.
