About the Denton Branch
The Denton Branch of the American Red Cross-Dallas Area Chapter , formerly the Denton County Branch, was founded in 1917 and provides all American Red Cross programs and services to it's local service area. In 1996, the Dallas Area Chapter merged with the Denton County Branch, to improve Red Cross services to the local Denton area.

Denton Branch - Service Area Facts
- Covers 944 square miles across the Denton County area
- Includes 32 diverse communities with a current population of more than 300,000
- Over 300 dedicated volunteers provide Red Cross programs and services to the local community
- Funding is provided locally by The United Way of Denton County, Inc., The Greater Lewisville United Way, Inc., and the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, Inc., provides additional community funding. Further funding is provided by local businesses, organizations, grants, and voluntary individual contributions.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are numerous opportunities available for those who want to lend their time and support as a Red Cross volunteer. The Denton Branch is currently seeking volunteers for: Disaster Services, Health and Safety Education, Youth Education, Public Speaking, Community Disaster Education Instructors, and many other volunteer positions.
