Becoming a New Disaster Volunteer

The American Red Cross - Dallas Area Chapter responds to an average of 3 disasters each day. Our disaster  volunteers are in the community, day and night, meeting the needs of individuals and families with food, clothing, temporary housing, emotional support and emergency supplies.

Become a Disaster Planning & Response Volunteer

Red Cross Disaster Volunteers receive specialized Red Cross training to prepare them to execute vital tasks in field operations, disaster assessment, mass care, sheltering and psychological first aid.

Take the first step to becoming disaster volunteer trained to handle local emergencies in the Dallas area and ready for deployment to national disasters elsewhere in the country, like Hurricane Katrina.
